photoworkshopwales is located in a former mining village of Ystradgynlais. Our base, is situated on the doorstep of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in south Wales. It is an ideal location to be, with the south Wales valleys and its industrial past offering unique photo opportunities, the wonderful Black Mountain range with outstanding features, and indeed the area boasts the highest mountain in the south of Great Britain, Pen y fan. Amongst all of these oppotunities, are glorious waterfalls & reservoirs - a must for our participants attending the photographic workshops. If this is not enough, we have outstanding photographers and tutors to guide you through the technicalities and stimulate your creativity, to learn and obtain the most from your photography. Roger Tiley MA,PGCE, has worked as a professional photographer for the past thirty five years. He has had his work published and exhibited all over the world. Amongst the accolades, he has worked for the Guardian, Observer and Times newspapers. He has also gained a vast experience in photographic tuition as a full time lecturer and visiting lecturer in the UK and USA. Roger is our tutor for the Landscape photo tours in the Brecon Beacons, slate landscape and Ceredigion coastline. Roger is the the author of three photographic books and has appeared on television, on numerous occasions discussing his work. Our facilities at photoworkshopwales, includes a fully equipped photographic studio/exhibition space and a digital darkroom with 7 Apple Machintosh computers. Maximum students on any of the courses is six. |
